An additional two individuals have been arrested in connection with a theft at Heathrow Airport in which 21 people sustained injuries by what is thought to be an irritant spray, as stated by police.

A man, 24, was taken into custody in the Lambeth area for suspected robbery and assault and a 23-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit robbery. Both individuals are still being held, authorities confirmed.

The arrests come after a probe into an attack at the multi-level parking garage at Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Prior to the incident, a pair of female travelers had stolen from them their suitcases upon exiting a parking garage elevator.

A three-year-old girl was one of the those hurt in the event. Five people were taken to the hospital for treatment and were later released.

Officers arrested a man in his thirties on suspicion of robbery and assault near the scene. He was subsequently released under investigation as the investigation proceeds.

Authorities were alerted at approximately 8:10 in the morning GMT after reports came in regarding several individuals injured by a noxious substance believed to be pepper spray.

The assault - which police said was isolated and not being treated as an act of terror - resulted in delays to rail services and the temporary shutdown of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the T3 parking facility for a short time.
