Real Madrid's winger Offers Sincere Sorry to Los Blancos Devotees
Vinicius Jr has scored 5 strikes in 10 Spanish league outings so far this term.
Real Madrid attacker Vinicius Jr has said sorry to supporters for his response when taken off in Sunday's heated Clasico clash victory.
He was substituted in the second half and displayed his annoyance by heading directly down the tunnel.
Vinicius later returned to the dugout and, following his side's narrow triumph, sought to engage Barça's Lamine Yamal during contentious final whistle scenes.
"This day I want to express regret to all the Real Madrid fans for my behavior when I was substituted in the Clasico," the player posted on his account.
"In the same way as I have said in person during today's practice, I would like to apologise again to my team-mates, the organization, and the president.
"Occasionally emotion takes over me because I constantly desire to triumph and help my club. My winning mentality comes from the love I hold for this team and all it symbolizes."
Vinicius moved to the Spanish capital from his former club in 2018 for £38.7m and has accumulated triple figures in numerous matches.
But his future in the Spanish capital is far from certain with speculation in the past few months suggesting that Los Blancos would consider allowing the 25-year-old move on if they were to receive a appropriate bid.
When the winger was substituted on Sunday, cameras from broadcaster the platform picked him up saying: "Always me! I'm leaving the team! It's preferable if I leave, I'm leaving."
In his new statement on X, Vinicius stated: "I vow to keep fighting at all times for the benefit of the club, as I have performed since the first day."
